At Cool Beans Indoor Playground & Cafe we strive to create a fun and exciting atmosphere for both out guests and our employees. Because we value your needs as well as the needs as those we serve, take a few minutes to review this pre-application survey so that we can both make sure that this is the right job for you.
Honesty: Honesty is a very important aspect of this job. Therefore, we place the utmost emphasis on honest employees. Once hired, you will be expected to deal with guests, other employees, management, and the company in a truthful manner. Aspects of honesty with regard to Cool Beans Indoor Playground & Cafe include, but are not limited to: accurate cash handling, proper use of equipment, and careful maintenance of inventory. In addition, we expect that you will not take advantage of our company by offering free and/or discounted food, merchandise, gift certificates, etc. to your family or friends.
Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco: At Cool Beans Indoor Playground & Cafe, we insist on a drug, alcohol, and tobacco free environment. For this reason, we enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy with regard to the aforementioned items. Any employees who come to work under the influence of or who is found in possession of drugs and/or alcohol will be terminated immediately. Further, all employees are subject to random drug testing per our discretion.
CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification: A prerequisite for hire is proof of current certification.
Appearance: Because of the high visibility of our employees, we require a clean-cut, uniformed appearance. Upon hire, all employees will be issued two uniform shirts and should employees require additional shirts they may be purchased from management. This uniform is to be worn in a neat (clean and pressed) manner during all scheduled shifts. Personal hygiene is also a primary concern. Our employees come into direct contact with our customers on a daily basis. Therefore, we ask that you adhere to the following requirements: NO extreme hairstyles, NO excessive makeup and/or jewelry, NO facial piercings, NO visible tattoos, etc.
Conduct: Once again, because our employees come in direct contact with our members on a daily basis, good people skills are critical to this job. Courteous, respectful, and responsible employee/customer relations are a MUST! If you do not enjoy working with people, we kindly ask that you do not fill out an application.
Schedule: We expect you to show up on time for all scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absence are unacceptable. Scheduling requests must be submitted at least 10 days in advance in order to ensure that both your needs as well as the company’s are met. Please be aware that Cool Beans Indoor Playground & Cafe conducts business during evenings, weekends, summer months, and holiday periods.
